Cultural Festival
Most of the Junior High Schools throughout Japan hold a cultural festival in Autumn. Aio Junior High School's cultural festival has the following characteristics:
The executives of the Student Association lead the other students in the preparation of the event. The teachers also participate in preparing the festival.
Prior to the event, we make a mural which provides the background to the stage. The picture used for the mural is chosen from our work. Because the mural is very large, the picture is separated into 16 parts. Each part is then attached to a panel and arranged to from the mural. This takes about three weeks.

The chorus competition opens the cultural festival. This is a tradition of our school. The 7th grade students sing first, then the 8th followed by the 9th. The 9th grade students really do sing wonderfully.
Besides the chorus competition, there are many exhibitions by different classes and club groups. For example, the science club hold an exhibition and some 8th grade students exhibited interesting insects and wildlife which they had discovered.
The event remains a pleasure for us to recollect. Everyone enjoyed it immensely.
The end of the culutural festival signifies the onset of winter.
Then the 9th grade students must start preparing for High School entrance examinations!!
